Capitalism can only work long-term if society imposes limits on it, to protect people from cons and exploitation. However, industries like payday loans, telemarketing, etc. have lobbyists that prevent our political system from imposing those limits.

Couldn’t have said it better myself. Wether capitalism, socialism or any other ism the problem is corruption within those systems. Don’t hate the game hate the players.
